That Trancenet's slogan claims *information* is freedom, rather than *truth*, is no accident. At least where TM is concerned, Trancenet's material involves huge amounts of information but very little truth.

Indeed, John Knapp is a master at manipulating information so as to convey implicit *untruth*.Information presented in a manner designed to mislead, as long as that information involves no *explicit* untruth, is not legally actionable. So "Information is freedom," as far as Trancenet is concerned, also means the freedom to lie implicitly without consequences.
